Q: Why don't you take credit cards?
A: Cost. It costs us money and therefore costs you money. We will gladly take cash, check, or money order.

Q: Do I have to feed the DJ at my event?
A: It is NOT necessary to feed the DJ, although it is appreciated, especially at events that run 5 hours or longer.

Q: Do I have to tip my DJ?
A: Tips are appreciated but by no means mandatory-there is no gratuity built into the fee. If you feel that your DJ has done an excellent job and is deserving of a tip, he/she will surely appreciate it.

Q: Do you play requests?
A: ABSOLUTELY!!

A:  Yes!! Upon reserving LJME you can build a Must Play, Do Not Play and Play If Possible List.

Q: What if we want a song that you don't have?
A: Our music collection spans thousands of songs from several decades. Often a client will want a song that is somewhat obscure and we may not have it. If this is the case there are two options: you may either supply us with the CD before the event so that we may check it for scratches, or (if you do not own a legal copy) we will obtain that song before your event, Just give us lots of advance notice if we need to find a song.

Q: What does it take to book a event with Lady J's Mobile Entertainment?
A: a signed contract and a retainer fee (non-refundable) officially reserves your date.
Q: Do we sign a contract?
A: Absolutely! Our contract is straightforward and written in plain English so that you can understand the terms before signing. It is signed by both parties and offers you a high level of protection and dependability. With the contract you can be assured that there will be no hidden extra charges or surprises at your event. The signed contract with retainer officially reserves your date. If you have any questions or concerns about the terms, just ask!

Q: How early should we book?
A: The sooner the better. Some of the popular dates can and do book as far as a year or more in advance. We recommend that you are prepared to sign a contract as early as 3-6 months before. However, depending on availability, some dates may be available up to a month before.

Q: Can we meet with you?
A: Yes! Both current and potential clients are encourage to meet with me. I generally meet with you at your residence or at a location that is convenient for you.

Q: How do I know the DJ will do what we want?
A: At Lady J's Mobile Entertainment my livelihood is dependent upon doing exactly what you want. Without happy clients we would not exist. Simply put, let us know what you want and do not want and that is exactly what you will receive.

Q: Will your staff drink alcohol during my event?
A: Absolutely Not! Our company policy is: No Consumption of Alcohol Before or During Any Event! You will notice the advantages of having a sober DJ.

Q: Do You Take Breaks?
A: One of the major advantages to using a DJ instead of a band, is that a DJ does not need to take breaks. When You hire Lady J's Mobile Entertainment to perform at your event, there will be music from the arrival of the guests, all the way throught until the last dance.

Q: How involved can we be in selecting music for our event?
A: We encourage you to be involved as you would like to be. If you have chosen Lady J to provide your entertainment, you presumably place a great value on music and probably have a very clear ideas as to what you want to hear. If you would like to select every song, we are happy to accommodate you. Most couples, however, prefer to discuss with their performer, in depth, their preferences and at least a few specifif request. We pride ourselves on listening to our clients and respecting their input and wishes, while providing additional suggestions and guidance when appropriate. Rest assured, you will never hear songs you have asked no to be played, or genres for which you have expressed your distaste. It'w quite often that our clients will ask for our help in finding "that song that goes like this," or alternate versions of their old favorites. We derive a great deal of satisfaction from providing this service and are happy to help in any way we can.
